Gold Futures Decline on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Despite COMEX Gains

Kuala Lampur:Bursa Malaysia: Gold futures concluded lower on Tuesday, even as the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX) reported improved performances.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the October 2026 gold futures contract decreased to US$4,167.50 per troy ounce from the previous US$4,178.40. Similarly, the November 2026 contract dropped to US$4,183.80 from US$4,195.40.

The December 2026 contract also declined to US$4,200.70 per troy ounce from US$4,212.00. This same decline to US$4,200.70 was observed for the January 2027, February 2027, and April 2027 contracts, all falling from US$4,212.00.

The trading volume reduced to 133 lots compared to 161 on Monday, with open interest diminishing to 196 contracts from 228. Meanwhile, physical gold was fixed at US$4,141.65 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on October 5.
