Gold Futures Decline on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Amid US COMEX Losses

Kuala lumpur: Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, following the decline in gold futures on the United States Commodity Exchange (US COMEX).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the spot-month September 2026 contract decreased to US$4,295.50 per troy ounce from US$4,353.50 per troy ounce last Friday. Similarly, the October 2026 contract slid to US$4,310.80 per troy ounce from US$4,368.70 per troy ounce.

The November 2026 contract slipped to US$4,326.60 per troy ounce from US$4,384.00 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, December 2026, February 2027, and April 2027 contracts all fell to US$4,334.40 per troy ounce from US$4,391.80 per troy ounce previously.

The trading volume saw a decrease, declining to 302 lots from 413 lots last Friday. Open interest also shrank, dropping to 358 contracts from 469 contracts.

In the physical market, gold was fixed at US$4,368.25 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on September 11, 2026.
