Kuala lumpur: National men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun got off to a flying start in their French Open 2025 campaign at Glaz Arena, Cesson-Sevigne, today. The seventh seeds took 27 minutes to thump South Korea’s Kang Min Hyuk-Ki Dong Ju, 21-9, 21-13 during the opening day of the Super 750 tournament.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the world number five pair will next play the newly-crowned Arctic Open 2025 champions from England, Ben Lane-Sean Vendy. Lane-Vendy denied a Malaysian encounter in the second round as they ousted professional pair Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong, 21-14, 21-13.

Earlier, professional mixed doubles, Wong Tien Ci-Lim Chiew Sien’s winless streak against Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Supissara Paewsampran continues with a 17-21, 17-21 loss, marking their third consecutive defeat to the third seeds from Thailand.
