Former Leaders’ Exit Will Not Affect PKR’s Focus – Mohammed Taufiq

Kuala lumpur: The resignations of several former PKR leaders and members, including those at the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) level, from the party will not affect its focus, said AMK vice-chief Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari. He said PKR must continue looking forward and focus on efforts to strengthen the party for the benefit of the people and the nation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Mohammed Taufiq emphasized that PKR has always maintained a forward-looking approach. He acknowledged that individuals have the right to make their own decisions, but stressed that these departures will not have a significant impact on the party. "We want to continue progressing and moving forward, while strengthening the party at the grassroots level, including branches and activists," he told reporters after officiating at the Kedah-level National Youth Day celebration.

Dr Mohammed Taufiq also pointed out that the party could not afford to dwell on the actions of those leaving, as the priority is to assist the government and the country in addressing current challenges, particularly the global supply crisis.

In addition, Mohammed Taufiq, who also serves as Youth and Sports Minister, highlighted the importance of youth participation in associations or youth organisations. He believes this involvement is crucial for developing character and leadership skills from an early stage. "We need to empower our youths with knowledge, character and strong spirit to develop the country together," he stated.
