Johor Bahru: Fomema Sdn Bhd (Fomema) is offering assistance to employers of foreign workers and service providers, affected by the recent floods in Johor, through its Fomema Flood Relief Programme (FRP). Fomema, in a statement, said that the FRP provides a 30-day extension for the validity of the Fomema Medical Examination Form, which applies specifically to foreign workers whose forms expire between March 22 and April 4, 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the extension applies to employers registered at Fomema panel clinics located in the flood-affected areas of Johor, namely Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, Muar, and Tangkak. Fomema chief executive officer Dr Mohd Afiq Farhan Md Hanif, in the same statement, said that, although the overall flood situation shows a gradual decline in the number of affected victims, recovery would take time.
‘Many are still dealing with operational setbacks and disruptions to daily life, and we recognise the challenges they face. Through this extension, we hope to provide employers and service providers much-needed flexibility, as they work to restore their businesses and routines,’ he said. For further details about this extension, employers may contact Fomema’s Customer Service and Representative team via WhatsApp at +603-2782 8777 or email at [email protected].
Assistance is available from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4 pm (Ramadan operating hours), excluding national and Federal Territories’ public holidays.
