F&N Expands Dairy Product Range Beyond Fresh Milk

Kuala lumpur: Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd (F and N) plans to expand its product range to include butter, cream, and yoghurt, viewing these as additional opportunities beyond fresh milk, depending on the success of the F and N AgriValley. F and N’s chief executive officer Lim Yew Hoe highlighted the importance of producing local butter to replace imported varieties, while locally produced cream could reduce reliance on foreign supplies.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, F and N is exploring the use of green energy at its Gemas farm and is in discussions with stakeholders about the necessary investments in solar panels and batteries. Lim noted that the company is looking at substantial investments due to the size of its operations. He also mentioned that F and N will share further information with the media after discussions with relevant stakeholders are concluded.

In the financial year ending September 30, 2025, F and N’s total loans decreased to RM592 million from RM706 million in the previous period, while total debt declined to RM656.2 million from RM760.9 million. At F and N AgriValley, the development of a dairy manufacturing plant is nearing completion, with commercial milk production expected in the first quarter of FY2026. The farm, located in Pasir Besar, houses over 4,000 cattle and plans to expand with the arrival of 2,500 pregnant heifers from Chile.

Looking ahead, Lim stated that F and N is committed to long-term growth through strategic investments. The initiatives aim to offer Malaysians affordable world-class fresh milk and contribute to national food security goals. Though these investments might temporarily impact margins, Lim expressed confidence in the potential returns aligned with the company’s plans and targets.
