KOTA BHARU: The three family members, who had been stranded on the roof of a house in Kampung Meranti, Pasir Mas, since yesterday evening, have been rescued by villagers. Fazlinda Mohd Salleh, 38, said that her husband, Rijal Asmawi, 42, and their sons, Muhammad Faiz, 15, and Muhammad Fitri, 12, were rescued by residents and brought to the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bayu Lalang at about 3.50 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fazlinda shared that the rescue was carried out by villagers using a private boat. Expressing her relief, she said, “Alhamdulillah, I’m just so thankful they’re all safe, even though they were really exhausted.” She reflected on the incident as a lesson for her family and expressed gratitude to those who assisted and shared her social media post seeking help.
