Kuala Lumpur: The flood situation in Sabah is improving, with all three temporary relief centres in Sook now closed as the district recovers. The Sabah Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) Secretariat, in a statement, said that the number of evacuees taking shelter in 21 relief centres across the state has dropped significantly to 3,114 individuals from 1,061 families as of 8 pm, compared to 4,530 people from 1,488 families earlier in the day.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Beaufort remains the most affected district, with 1,719 evacuees from 556 families in seven relief centres, followed by Membakut with 881 individuals from 295 families in five centres, and Tenom with 514 people from 210 families in nine relief centres.
