Tanjung rambutan: Firefighters rescued a Persian cat after its tail was snagged in the spring of a massage chair in an incident at Taman Kinding Flora, Tanjung Rambutan here, yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad stated that the department received an emergency call at 2.52 pm, prompting a team from the Tambun Fire and Rescue Station to be dispatched to the scene.

He mentioned that the team arrived at 3.04 pm and discovered the cat's tail ensnared in the chair's spring. Initial investigations revealed that the cat had fallen into a narrow space within the massage chair, leading to its tail becoming trapped.

The screws holding the spring were loosened, allowing the cat to be freed. Sabarodzi noted that the team took 16 minutes to complete the rescue operation, which concluded at 3.20 pm.
