Labuan: A workers’ quarters in Merinding Garden here was destroyed in an early morning fire today, but no casualties were reported. Labuan Fire and Rescue Department director Abdul Rahman Ali said the 3 am blaze destroyed eight rooms and a Honda motorcycle.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the fire spread rapidly and quickly engulfed the whole wooden structure. Abdul Rahman Ali stated that the team responded promptly and managed to extinguish the fire by 4 am.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
