According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil highlighted FINAS's significant role over the years in nurturing the country's film and creative sectors. Despite the challenges presented by an increasingly digital era, FINAS remains instrumental in ensuring that Malaysia's film, animation, and creative content industries stay competitive and capable of reaching global markets. Fahmi emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare and protection of members within the creative industry, ensuring the sustainability of the national film sector in the face of digital age challenges. He expressed his gratitude to all creative industry players for their con tributions to elevating industry standards across the value chain. Established on June 1, 1981, FINAS is the principal agency responsible for the development of Malaysia's film industry. As it celebrates its 45th anniversary, Fahmi voiced his hopes for FINAS to continue advancing Malaysia's film industry to new heights. Additionally, Fahmi congratulated TV3 on its 42nd anniversary, acknowledging its significant impact on the nation's broadcasting landscape since its inception on June 1, 1984. He praised TV3 for consistently delivering news, entertainment, and diverse content that resonates with the public, thanking all TV3 staff for their dedication and commitment.
