Johor: FELCRA Bhd (FELCRA) has channelled RM68.48 million to the Johor government for the development of the people's well-being under the 'Skim Pembangunan Kesejahteraan Rakyat' (SPKR) programme this year. Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi stated that the allocation would be utilised in a transparent, systematic, and targeted manner to support the hardcore poor registered under the e-Kasih system.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, over the past five years, FELCRA has distributed RM311.9 million in profits to more than 11,000 participants. This distribution highlights how the agriculture sector and efficient land management can generate sustainable returns while improving the living standards of Johor's residents. Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi expressed commitment to continuing the collaboration with FELCRA to further the rural development and poverty eradication agenda.
Onn Hafiz extended his gratitude to FELCRA chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub for the ongoing assistance and cooperation with the state government. During a meeting with Ahmad Jazlan, discussions were held on enhancing FELCRA's operations and asset management in Johor to ensure more orderly, transparent, and competitive governance.
He emphasized the importance of these steps to ensure that every facility and project implemented provides maximum benefits to participants and the local community. Onn Hafiz expressed hope that this close synergy will further strengthen the rural economy, safeguard participants' well-being, and inclusively drive Johor's prosperity.
