Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Thursday. At the start of trading, the FBM KLCI futures for August 2026, September 2026, and March 2027 saw a reduction of 7.5 points each, reaching 1,736.5, 1,714.5, and 1,698.5 respectively. Meanwhile, the December 2026 contract decreased by six points to settle at 1,715.5.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the futures contracts stood at 1,879, with open interest recorded at 39,709 contracts. Additionally, the FBM KLCI itself eased by 4.32 points to 1,737.29 at 9.08 am, compared to the previous day's close of 1,741.61.
