FBM KLCI Futures Open Lower Amid Cash Market Declines

Kuala lumpur: FBM KLCI futures opened lower on Thursday, tracking declines in the underlying cash market. At 9.30 am, the January 2026 contract slipped 3.0 points to 1,708.0. February, March, and June 2026 contracts fell 5.0 points each to 1,711.0, 1,692.0, and 1,695.5, respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover stood at 1,138 lots, with open interest at 37,351 contracts. The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI fell 7.59 points to 1,703.32 after 35 minutes of trading, from Wednesday's close of 1,710.91.
