Kuala Lumpur:The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives began the trading day on a lower note.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, by 10.01 am, the October 2026 contract had decreased 17.50 points to 1,611.0. The November 2026 contract dropped 14.0 points to 1,616.0, while the December 2026 contract reduced by 13.50 points to 1,622.0. Meanwhile, the March 2027 note saw a decline of 15.50 points, settling at 1,605.0.

Turnover for these contracts was recorded at 2,807 lots, with open interest amounting to 42,255 contracts. At 10.02 am, the FBM KLCI itself had slipped 16.97 points to 1,616.38, down from the previous day's close of 1,633.35.
