Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot-month August 2025 contract fell 34.5 points to 1,574.5. The September 2025 contract dropped 33.5 points to 1,553.0, while the December 2025 contract slid 32 points to 1,555.0. The March 2026 contract slumped 33 points to 1,538.0.
Turnover surged significantly to 49,511 lots from 30,966 lots on Monday. Additionally, open interest increased to 95,740 contracts from 70,159 contracts previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI receded by 20.86 points, or 1.30 percent, to settle at 1,581.59, compared to Monday’s close of 1,602.45.
