FBM KLCI Futures Contract Declines Across All Months

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today in tandem with losses in the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the March 2025, June 2025, and September 2025 contracts each fell by 6.0 points to 1,514.0, 1,519.5, and 1,506.0, respectively, while the April 2025 contract decreased by 5.5 points to 1,517.5. Turnover saw an increase to 7,321 lots from 6,916 lots on Monday, though open interest narrowed to 43,582 contracts from 44,243 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself lost 10.15 points, or 0.66 percent, closing at 1,517.66 compared to Monday’s close of 1,527.81. It is noteworthy that Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries were closed yesterday in observance of the Nuzul Al-Quran public holiday.
