FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower Amid Increased Turnover

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Monday. At the close, the spot months of July 2025 and September 2025 contracts each declined by 17.0 points, reaching 1,532.50 and 1,511.50, respectively. Meanwhile, the August 2025 and December 2025 contracts each narrowed by 17.5 points, settling at 1,530.0 and 1,510.0, respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover increased to 6,651 lots from 3,001 on Friday, while open interest rose to 38,018 contracts from 34,783 previously. At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 12.65 points, or 0.82 percent, to 1,537.54, down from last Friday’s close of 1,550.19.
