FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher with Gains Across Contracts

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today in tandem with gains in the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the March 2025 contract rose 12.5 points to 1,520.0. Both the April 2025 and June 2025 contracts gained 13.5 points each, reaching 1,523.0 and 1,525.5 respectively. Meanwhile, the September 2025 contract added 13.0 points, closing at 1,512.0.

Turnover for the day decreased to 6,916 lots, down from 11,981 lots recorded on Friday. Open interest also narrowed, dropping to 44,243 contracts from the previous 49,602 contracts.

At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index increased by 15.66 points, or 1.04 percent, ending at 1,527.81 compared to Friday’s close of 1,512.15.

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will not be operating tomorrow due to the observance of the Nuzul Al-Quran public holiday.
