Bank Islam Distributes Iftar Meals to Bernama Staff, Sharing Ramadan Blessings

Kuala Lumpur: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd today distributed approximately 300 iftar meal packs to the staff of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) as part of its effort to share blessings during the month of Ramadan. Group Corporate Communications senior manager Siti Mahani Sh Abd Ghani, said the bank consistently celebrates and shares its blessings with Malaysians, with the distribution of iftar meals being one of its annual programmes for the past 10 years.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the month of Ramadan is a time of great blessings, and as an Islamic financial institution that has operated in Malaysia for more than 40 years, Bank Islam hopes to share this goodwill with media friends. The initiative aims to further strengthen the bonds of friendship among long-standing media colleagues, as stated by Siti Mahani Sh Abd Ghani at the iftar meal distribution programme at Wisma Bernama.

She noted that this year, Bank Islam has allocated more than RM570,000 for the Ihya Ramadan programme, which includes support for the Asnaf group and the Ihtimam Ramadan initiative at the Royal Malaysian Navy base in Lumut, Perak. The programme also reaches out to workers around Kuala Lumpur who do not have time to return home to break their fast, providing free meals every working day. Additionally, iftar meals are prepared for more than 500 people at Bank Islam Tower.

Bank Islam also organises programmes to support the Asnaf community, media professionals, and the wider public, further underscoring its commitment to sharing the blessings of Ramadan with diverse segments of the Malaysian population.
