Lembah Pantai: Lembah Pantai MP Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has committed to addressing the issue of maintenance fee arrears for Phase 1F and 1G housing at Taman Seri Sentosa, which has been a point of contention between residents and the housing management body. Fahmi, who also serves as the Communications Minister, acknowledged the numerous complaints he has received from residents concerning notices and calls from both the former and current management agents regarding outstanding building maintenance payments.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi noted that many residents were dissatisfied with the quality of service provided by the previous management agent. When a new agent assumed responsibility after April 2024, residents sought a reassessment of the old arrears. Following discussions held on Friday with representatives from the Kuala Lumpur Commissioner of Buildings, the management agent, and residents, an agreement was reached to temporarily halt calls about the old arrears pending a comprehensive review, although new arrears must be settled promptly.
Fahmi expressed his commitment to taking several follow-up actions to assist both the residents and the management. In a Facebook post today, he emphasized the need for the management agent to review the monthly maintenance costs to ensure they align with the financial capabilities of the residents.
