Fahmi Fadzil Assists Stroke Patient in Paya Rumput Through Welfare Initiative

Paya Rumput:Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil visited a stroke patient in Kampung Cheng, Paya Rumput, to provide support and expedite welfare matters as part of the 'Ziarah Kasih' initiative.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the beneficiary, Nurfarawahida Zainal Abidin, 37, who is single and unemployed, suffered a stroke in February and is currently under the care of a neurologist in Melaka. Nurfarawahida, the second of four siblings, is fully cared for by her mother, Sarah Husin, 64, who is also unemployed.

Fahmi emphasized the importance of community outreach programs for understanding the health and welfare issues of individuals, as well as for addressing broader administrative and policy-related challenges. He highlighted that such programs provide leadership opportunities to examine systemic issues, such as delays in receiving zakat aid, and to coordinate with authorities to resolve them.

Fahmi noted that continuous scrutiny of welfare cases at the grassroots level is crucial for identifying delays in aid distribution and ensuring efficient coordination with relevant agencies. He affirmed that the initiative will continue to engage with the community to ensure grievances are addressed and support reaches those in need.
