Kuala lumpur: EZVIZ has expanded its Green Initiative with a new global partnership with Plastic Bank, an international social fintech company dedicated to reducing plastic waste and supporting local collectors. The collaboration is launched under the ‘Together for Change, Bottle by Bottle’ campaign, following EZVIZ’s commitments made during World Environment Day in June, according to a statement.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, EZVIZ Global Brand Director, Sophie Zhang stated that the company’s approach is holistic in creating products and partnerships that make a real difference. She emphasized that EZVIZ believes in plastic reduction that is people-centred, tech-enabled, and globally scaled. Meanwhile, Plastic Bank Chief Executive Officer and Founder, David Katz, highlighted that with EZVIZ, the company is demonstrating that every action, no matter how small, can ripple outward to protect the environment and uplift communities.
As part of the initiative, EZVIZ will fund the removal of 20,000 kilogrammes of plastic waste from the environment by 2025, which is equivalent to one million plastic bottles. The project is set to benefit 29 communities across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Plastic Bank’s circular economy model enables local collectors to convert discarded plastic into valuable resources, thereby strengthening livelihoods, building resilience, and protecting the environment.
EZVIZ has embedded sustainability into its product lifecycles. In 2024, the company prevented 22.3 tonnes of plastic waste through the use of recycled materials in its robot vacuum line. Additionally, its EB3 battery camera combines solar power with 80 per cent recyclable components and fully recyclable packaging. The company has also reduced its environmental footprint by eliminating over one million bubble wrap bags per month, streamlining packaging, and replacing printed labels with laser etching, which saved 1.573 tonnes of paper last year.
