Ex-Captain Returns To Don Perak Jersey For 2026/2027 Season

Kuala lumpur: The Perak Football Association (PAFA) has confirmed that former Perak captain Mohamad Nasir Basharudin will rejoin the team for the 2026/2027 A1 Semi-Pro League season. PAFA president Datuk Mohd Azhar Jamaluddin said Mohamad Nasir's vast experience as a former national player is expected to add significant value to the team, particularly in guiding its younger players.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad Nasir, better known as "Acer", was among the players who helped Perak lift the Malaysia Cup in 2018, ending the team's 18-year wait to win the prestigious trophy. Besides Perak, the 36-year-old Taiping-born midfielder has also played for Terengganu FC (2020-2021), PJ City FC (2022), Harini FT (2023), and Melaka FC (2024-2026).

PAFA also believes Nasir's presence will not only strengthen the team's midfield but also provide leadership on and off the field, helping unite the squad and restore Perak's standing in the domestic football scene.
