Bangkok: Maybank Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation have launched the sixth cohort of the eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA) programme, bringing together 110 Youth Volunteers and representatives from across ASEAN for a regional capacity-building workshop in Bangkok.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this year's cohort marks two significant milestones. Lao PDR has joined the programme as an implementing country for the first time, expanding the initiative's reach. Additionally, Timor-Leste has been welcomed into ASEAN as its 11th Member State, leading to an increase in the number of Youth Volunteers from 100 to 110.
The eYAA programme continues to foster community transformation and social impact by equipping young volunteers with the skills and knowledge needed to address regional challenges. The initiative not only empowers the youth but also strengthens ties among ASEAN nations through collaborative efforts aimed at sustainable development.
