Elavarasan Sets Ambitious Goals for Kelantan TRW in Upcoming Super League

Kota bharu: Newly appointed Kelantan The Real Warriors (Kelantan TRW) head coach E. Elavarasan is determined to steer the team to a stronger standing in the 2025/26 Super League campaign. Elavarasan said that in the previous season, the team – then known as Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC) – had finished at the bottom of the league table, and this time he is targeting at least a top-eight finish.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Elavarasan accepted the coaching offer due to several factors, including the team’s rich history and his desire to restore its standing in the league. He had considered offers from clubs abroad but was compelled to settle in Kelantan due to the potential he sees in the team.

Elavarasan emphasized the importance of fan support and urged them not to place undue pressure on the newly-formed squad. He acknowledged the team’s lackluster performances over the past few years but expressed confidence in gradual improvement. The team is anticipating the arrival of foreign players next week,
which Elavarasan believes will bolster their performance.

The coach, having conducted his first training session at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, highlighted the mix of experienced players and promising under-23 talents currently in the squad. With new additions to both the management and player roster, Elavarasan is optimistic about elevating the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
