Terengganu fc: Terengganu FC (TFC) will be led by a corporate figure as chief executive officer (CEO) this season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Terengganu Football Association (PBSNT) chairman Hishamuddin Abdul Karim stated that the state FA has compiled a shortlist of several suitable candidates to lead the club. This move aligns with the full privatisation plan aimed at transitioning the club towards professional management. The final selection process is underway, with a closed interview scheduled for next week to identify the most qualified and credible candidate to lead the club to greater heights.

Hishamuddin emphasized the necessity of bringing in a corporate figure to manage TFC, highlighting the importance of fully embracing privatisation for the club’s development. His remarks were made during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Terengganu Football Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) and the Terengganu Incorporated Group (Trg Inc).

During the ceremony, Trg Inc, represented by Chief Executive Officer Datuk Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed, provided a sponsorship worth RM1.65 million to support TFC in the upcoming 2025/26 Malaysia League season. Burhanuddin noted that the sponsorship, which includes both monetary support and services, represents a RM150,000 increase from the previous season. He emphasized the importance of corporate backing, professional management, and community involvement in strengthening a football team, expressing hopes that the collaboration would enhance brand engagement for Trg Inc across all TFC platforms.
