Midocean energy: MidOcean Energy ('MidOcean' or the 'Company'), a liquefied natural gas (LNG) company formed and managed by EIG, today announced an equity capital raise of more than $1.2 billion.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this substantial equity raise includes a $500 million commitment from Idemitsu Kosan, a global energy company known for its extensive presence across the energy value chain. Additionally, new and existing investors have contributed a total of $790 million, further bolstering the company's financial foundation.

The successful capital raise exceeded the initial target of $1.0 billion, highlighting investor confidence in MidOcean's strategic vision and growth potential within the LNG sector. The participation of Idemitsu Kosan underscores the strength of MidOcean's partnerships and its position in the global energy market.
