Kuala Lumpur:The Education Ministry (MOE) has announced that trainee teachers at Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) campuses will have the option of attending four days of hybrid lectures in conjunction with Deepavali.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek stated that the hybrid lectures will be available from November 9 to 12 for Group A, which includes the states of Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu. For Group B, covering Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Pahang, Sabah, and the Federal Territories, the schedule will run from November 10 to 13.
This arrangement allows trainee teachers who are returning home for the Deepavali celebrations to continue their studies online. Additionally, IPG campuses have the option to apply for extra leave and replacement holidays if needed. The minister emphasized that this measure ensures that trainee teachers can maintain their educational commitments while enjoying time with their families during the festival.
Minister Fadhlina also shared her Deepavali greetings with all the trainee teachers and their families celebrating the festival. Deepavali, known as the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated on November 8 this year and is a significant Hindu festival symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
