DPM Zahid Invites Public To Experience National TVET Day 2026

Putrajaya: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has invited the public to attend the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Day 2026 celebration, which begins today at Dataran Putrajaya. Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister and chairman of the National TVET Council (MTVET), said the event offers a variety of activities for visitors.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid extended the invitation to all Malaysians, encouraging them to bring their families and friends to the celebration, which will run from 9 am today until June 7, 2026. The event features technology and innovation exhibitions, career carnivals, skills competitions, industry seminars, technology demonstrations, and various interactive programmes designed for the whole family.

Ahmad Zahid also emphasized the importance of recognizing the nation's talent, skills, and future through participation in National TVET Day 2026. The celebration, anticipated to draw 500,000 visitors, begins today with a focus on TVET's role as a catalyst for developing a highly skilled workforce and enhancing the country's economic competitiveness.

The event, themed "TVET: The Top Career Choice," spans three days and concludes on Sunday. It gathers more than 107 agencies, institutions, and industry players from nine key sectors, including aerospace, electronics and digital technology, agriculture, transport and automotive, advanced manufacturing, services, rail, maritime, and energy. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the highlight of the celebration at 10 am tomorrow.
