Bukit jalil: National diver Elvis Priestly Anak Clement expressed relief after scoring above 400 points again in the men's 10-metre platform event at the National Diving Trials Championship at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil today. He said the score has, to some extent, boosted his confidence as he is still recovering from a spinal injury. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Elvis mentioned that he is in the process of regaining his confidence and admitted that his performance was not at full capacity. He expressed his intent to give his best in future competitions and work towards rebuilding the confidence he had lost. Elvis is hopeful that maintaining his current performance level will enhance his chances of qualifying for the 2026 Asian Games in September. The Sarawak-born diver led the men's 10m platform event, accumulating a total of 412.90 points from six dives. This achievement surpassed the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) of 380 set by Malaysia Aquatics for the event. Other divers who exc eeded the MQS at the meet include Muhd Anilrian Normatrud Abdullah and Bertrand Rhodict Lises, who secured second and third places with scores of 403.5 and 393.15 points, respectively.
