Decisions Must Be Fact-based, Not Driven By Emotions, Tuanku Muhriz Reminds State Leaders

Seremban: Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir has reminded those holding high office in the state to ensure that all decisions and actions are based on a thorough evaluation of facts and relevant information. His Royal Highness said all actions and decisions must be guided by established rules and laws.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Muhriz emphasized the importance of integrity and responsibility for individuals in high positions during his royal address at the opening of the First Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th State Legislative Assembly at Wisma Negeri. He warned against decisions influenced by personal desires or emotions, which risk undermining administrative integrity and the wellbeing of the state.

Tuanku Muhriz also addressed the public, urging responsible and informed commentary on issues, highlighting the potential adverse effects of disseminating information without proper verification. He stressed the importance of careful investigation to avoid rash and irresponsible information dissemination.

In light of global economic challenges, His Royal Highness advised the state government to focus on projects that provide tangible benefits to the people. He underscored the collective responsibility of leaders in guiding the state towards unity, prosperity, and wellbeing, reminding them that their actions are closely observed by the public, especially in today's digital world.

Furthermore, Tuanku Muhriz advised state assemblymen to engage in rational and intellectual debates, emphasizing the need for constructive arguments that address the people's concerns. They were reminded to uphold and defend the Federal Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Negeri Sembilan, while adhering to the Standing Orders throughout the proceedings.
