DAP’s Open Hearted Acceptance of N.Sembilan Polls Outcome

Kuala lumpur: DAP has accepted the outcome of the Negeri Sembilan state election with an open heart and respects the mandate delivered by voters through the democratic process. Its deputy chairman Datuk Seri Nga Kor Ming stated that although the result fell short of Pakatan Harapan's (PH) expectations, the coalition accepted the outcome with an open heart and would conduct a thorough post-mortem to address its shortcomings. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nga highlighted that the defeats in the Chennah and Repah state constituencies were challenging experiences for the party. However, he emphasized that PH would not lose heart. Instead, the coalition plans to reflect, carry out a comprehensive assessment, and work towards regaining victory in Negeri Sembilan in the future. Nga affirmed that DAP would remain steadfast in its struggle, face challenges together, and move forward with determination as one team. He added that DAP and PH would continue serving the people with full commitment while working to re gain public confidence and support through their performance and service record. In addition, Nga expressed appreciation to party secretary-general Anthony Loke for his leadership throughout the election campaign, acknowledging his dedication alongside party members until the very end. Loke, who contested the Chennah state seat, lost to MCA candidate Siow Kong Choon by a majority of 688 votes, while PH also narrowly lost the Repah seat to a Barisan Nasional candidate by 444 votes. The Housing and Local Government Minister also thanked Negeri Sembilan voters for their support of PH in the election.
