Kuala lumpur: National sprinter Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee settled for seventh place in the men's 100 metres (m) final at the Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships held at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 19-year-old completed the final race in 10.43 seconds (s). In a competitive event, the gold medal was captured by China's Dai Hongyu with a time of 10.28s. Hong Kong's Kwok Chung Ting secured the silver medal, clocking 10.35s, and Japan's Yasukawa Tsubasa claimed the bronze with an identical time of 10.35s. Danish Iftikhar qualified for the final by finishing sixth overall in the semi-finals, where he recorded a time of 10.38s. Despite not making it to the podium, his performance adds valuable experience at the international level.
