Kuala terengganu: A post-mortem has confirmed that CKJ Racing rider Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill, 18, succumbed to multiple injuries sustained during a crash at the Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, authorities revealed yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor reported that the post-mortem was conducted at the Forensic Department of Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) between 10 pm and 11.55 pm last night. The tragic incident unfolded during the CP150 final race of the fifth round at the Gong Badak Motorsport Circuit, involving a collision between three motorcycles.

Farres, originating from Selangor, was promptly transported to the HSNZ Emergency Department via ambulance but was pronounced dead upon arrival, stated ACP Azli Mohd Noor in an official statement today.

In a related account, Farres' friend, Adi Putra Anahar, 17, shared his experience of the event. He recounted that he was watching the race live on his smartphone from a car when the broadcast was abruptly cut. Adi Putra, who races for the Honda KC Racing Team, last interacted with Farres last Thursday as they returned to their accommodation in Gong Badak.

'Yesterday, I took the opportunity to watch the live race from the car as my racing session had already ended. I was puzzled when the broadcast suddenly ended. Not long after that, I received a call from a friend informing me that Farres had been involved in an accident. I rushed to the hospital, but was told that he had passed away,' he expressed when approached at the HSNZ Forensic Department last night.

Adi Putra, a fellow Selangor native, expressed the profound impact Farres' passing has had on him, noting their close friendship since age 13. 'We have been friends for a long time because we were both involved in motorsports. We would hang out together two or three times a week. I am aware of the risks involved in motorsports, but I never expected to lose him in the blink of an eye,' he added.
