Terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) head coach Badrul Afzan Razali has alerted his team to be cautious of Selangor FC’s recent form ahead of their upcoming Super League clash at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium (MBPJ) in Kelana Jaya.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Badrul Afzan stated that The Red Giants are expected to deliver a strong performance as they aim to secure three points after their narrow 1-2 defeat against Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) last Sunday. He urged his players, known as the Turtles, to maintain focus and adhere to their game plan to secure a win for their dedicated supporters.

Badrul Afzan acknowledged Selangor FC as one of the top teams with skilled players, posing a challenge for opponents. He emphasized the importance of this match as it precedes a break for international fixtures, expressing hope that his players would earn at least one point if not all three.

He also mentioned that all players were fit and ready to play, with the exception of import striker Gabriel Da Costa, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, and Muhammad Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili, who has been called to join the Under-23 Squad (B-23). Badrul Afzan advised his players to manage their emotions to avoid unnecessary red cards, referencing an incident from their previous match against DPMM FC.

He noted that TFC might have an advantage in terms of rest, as their last match was on Friday, while Selangor played on Sunday. He urged his team to capitalize on this and strive to secure three points as the visiting team.
