CNY Celebration Highlights Unity and Togetherness, Say Deputy Prime Ministers

Kuala lumpur: The Chinese New Year celebration is expected to bring well-being, strengthen unity, and uphold the spirit of togetherness that forms the foundation of prosperity in this culturally diverse nation. The message was conveyed by both Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof in their respective Facebook posts today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, expressed his hope that this year would bring happiness, good health, abundant sustenance, and success in every endeavor undertaken. He emphasized the beauty of Malaysia's cultural diversity, celebrating differences with respect and sharing joy as a united family. Ahmad Zahid extended Chinese New Year wishes to all Malaysians celebrating the festival, hoping for greater hope and well-being for the nation.

Meanwhile, Fadillah, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, expressed similar sentiments, hoping the new year would bring happiness, lasting good health, and abundant sustenance to all. He noted that Malaysians are fortunate to live in an environment that promotes learning and value-sharing among people of various races and religious beliefs. Fadillah stressed the importance of nurturing a spirit of tolerance and mutual respect, which he believes is the foundation of shared harmony and stability. He urged Malaysians to preserve unity, strengthen harmony, and uphold togetherness, stepping into the new year with united hearts, firm resolve, and a spirit of mutual support.
