CM Chow Lauded for Transformative Infrastructure Projects in Penang

Kuala lumpur: Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has been commended for his efficient leadership and effective execution of transformative infrastructure projects in Penang. Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Steven Sim, highlighted Chow's role in initiating several large-scale projects valued at nearly RM30 billion over the past two years, describing these undertakings as "game changers" for the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sim emphasized that Chow's abilities extend beyond mere planning and announcements, focusing instead on the practical implementation of these projects. Sim praised the Batu Kawan Member of Parliament as a prudent, humble, and efficient leader whose execution of policies significantly impacts the development of Penang.

Sim further elaborated on Chow's leadership style, stating, "Chow is known as a highly prudent and humble leader, but to me, he is also an extremely efficient policy executor. A great leader doesn't need to resort to insults, expletive, or make a lot of noise. A great leader is an executor of his or her words. Keep Going, CM," expressing his support in a Facebook post.

Chow had previously announced plans for 122 projects in Penang by 2026, which include public infrastructure, community facilities, and special economic initiatives. Notable projects comprise the Juru-Sungai Dua (JSD) Elevated Highway Project, the Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT), and the expansion of the Penang International Airport (PIA).

Additionally, strategic projects like the Penang IC Design and Digital Park, the Penang Chip Design Academy, and the Silicon Research and Incubation Space are anticipated to generate high-income job opportunities and attract investments from global technology firms, further boosting Penang's economic landscape.
