China’s Strong Industry-driven Ecosystem Draws Malaysian Businesses Seeking Expansion.


KUALA LUMPUR: A strong industry-driven ecosystem in China is one of the key factors attracting Malaysian businesses to enter the Chinese market as part of their expansion strategy. Aerodyne Group co-founder and group chief executive officer Datuk Kamarul A Muhamed described China as a country that can be considered both the manufacturing hub and innovation centre of the world, with many emerging technologies coming from the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kamarul emphasized Malaysia’s friendly and neutral stance, which facilitates good relations with various nations, including China. He highlighted that collaborating with Chinese companies can significantly enhance technology transfer between the two countries. Aerodyne is currently working with several Chinese companies, including investors and operational partners from Shenzhen, and maintains an office in Shanghai. The company is co-developing new drone technologies aimed at adding mutual value. Kamarul expressed excitement about building new rel
ationships and strengthening existing collaborations with Chinese firms during the Malaysia-China Summit (MCS) 2024, scheduled for December 17-19, 2024, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Sai emphasized how Julie’s has tailored its products to align with Chinese preferences while maintaining core values, aiming to engage industry leaders and underscore the role of mid-tier companies in enhancing Malaysia’s global presence.

The MCS 2024, organized by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), and supported by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), aims to foster continuous ec
onomic growth and societal advancement. Themed “Prosperity Beyond 50”, the summit seeks to promote cooperation and synergy between Malaysia and China. Approximately 500 exhibitors from Malaysia, China, and ASEAN countries are expected, with hopes of attracting 10,000 trade visitors and delegates and generating RM2 billion in potential trade and investments.
