China-ASEAN Expo Draws Over 3,400 Enterprises from 73 Nations

Nanning:The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) successfully concluded its five-day event in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, showcasing the participation of 3,432 enterprises from 73 countries and regions. The expo, which spanned 170,000 square meters, focused on economic and trade cooperation, with particular emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the expo adopted a new layout featuring a main exhibition hall, special-topic exhibition zones, and off-site exhibition zones. The main venue was located at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, with additional venues at Nan-A Community and Guilin International Convention and Exhibition Center. These venues collectively attracted over 360,000 visits, setting a new record.

This year's expo saw Timor-Leste co-hosting for the first time, involving "13 parties from 12 countries." The event introduced an "ASEAN raises questions, China provides solutions" model, which was bolstered by the publication of demand lists from ASEAN countries. The AI exhibition zone was notably expanded by 60 percent compared to the previous year, and the AI Marketplace recorded transactions exceeding 28 million Chinese yuan.

The expo resulted in several key achievements, including efforts to advance the strategic consensus on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0, the release of various reports and standards, and the launch of a cross-border industrial large model. Additionally, the China-ASEAN Data Cooperation Professional Committee was inaugurated under the auspices of the World Data Organization.

Looking ahead, the 24th China-ASEAN Expo is scheduled to take place from September 17 to 21, 2027, with Singapore designated as the Country of Theme and Nanjing as China's City of Charm.
