Pahang: Chief Justice Tun Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh leads the list of 52 distinguished recipients of Pahang state honours, awards, and medals in an investiture ceremony celebrating the 67th birthday of Sultan Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. Al-Sultan Abdullah personally presented the awards at Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah. Additionally, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and other state government leaders were in attendance.
Chief Justice Wan Ahmad Farid received the Sri Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAAS) award, which bestows the title of Datuk Seri Setia. The Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, carrying the title of Datuk Seri, was awarded to 16 individuals, including Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Datuk Dr Ramli Mohd Nor, the Cameron Highlands MP.
Other notable SSAP awardees included Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah and Pahang Local Government, Housing, Environment, and Green Technology Committee chairman Datuk Mohammad Fakhruddin Mohd Ariff. Army Chief General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman and Royal Malaysian Customs Department director-general Datuk Amran Ahmad were also among the recipients.
The list of SSAP honorees extended to International Islamic University Malaysia rector Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Osman Bakar, UniRazak chancellor Datuk Mohamed Nizam Abdul Razak, Armed Forces Joint Forces commander Lieutenant-General Datuk Tengku Muhammad Fauzi Tengku Ibrahim, and Deputy Air Force Chief Lieutenant General Datuk Nur Hafis Abdul Karim. Air Education and Training commander Lieutenant General Datuk Muhammad Tarminzi Mustapha and renowned singer Datuk Shaheila Abdul Majid, known as Sheila Majid, also received the award.
The Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award, which carries the title of Datuk Indera, was given to Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad chairman Datuk Zamri Mohamed and MATRADE CEO Datuk Abu Bakar Yusof. Eight individuals were awarded the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP), including Pahang Syariah Chief Judge Datuk Abdul Walid Abu Hassan and Naval Area 1 commander Rear Admiral Azman Rabani.
The Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award, conferring the title of Datuk, was bestowed upon 18 recipients, including Pahang Communications and Multimedia, Youth, Sports and NGO Committee chairman Fadzli Mohamad Kamal, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department Deputy Director-General (Operations) Nordin Pauzi, and Pahang Education director Ahmad Zamri Md Isa.
Other DIMP awardees included Tenaga Nasional Berhad Pahang general manager Affendi Abdul Rahman, MFDM Holdings Sdn Bhd director and equestrian athlete Mohd Qabil Ambak Mahamad Fathil, and national silat exponent Mohd Al-Jufferi Jamari.
During the ceremony, the Sultan of Pahang also awarded the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) to two recipients, the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) to one recipient, and the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) and Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) to two recipients each.
