Accra:Sarawak Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Datuk Azizah Nawawi, leads the list of recipients for state honours, awards, and medals in celebration of Sarawak Governor Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar's 80th birthday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Azizah Nawawi was awarded the Darjah Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS), which bestows the title of Datuk Seri. Other recipients of the PNBS include Dewan Negara president Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) pro-chancellor Datuk Abdul Wahab Aziz, and ABM Fujiya Berhad chairman Datuk Tay Ah Ching @ Tay Chin Kin.

In total, 1,350 individuals were honoured during the celebration. Among them, four individuals received the Darjah Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (PGBK), carrying the title Datuk. The PGBK recipients were Court of Appeal Judge Dean Wayne Daly, Sarawak Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Sarawak State Legislative Assembly deputy speaker Datuk Idris Buang, and the senior private secretary to the Sarawak Governor Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie.

Additionally, six individuals were awarded the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (DJBS), which confers the title Datu, and 23 individuals received the Darjah Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS), which carries the title Datuk.

The honours list also included recipients of various other awards, such as two for the Johan Bintang Sarawak (JBS), two for the Johan Bintang Kenyalang, one for the Johan Perkhidmatan Cemerlang, 16 for the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang, nine for the Pingat Perwira Negeri, 18 for the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak, 100 for the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang, and 204 for the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti.

Furthermore, 71 individuals received the Ahli Bintang Sarawak, 241 were conferred the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang, 365 the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji, and 284 the Bentara Bintang Sarawak.
