Shanghai:Chery Auto's premium new energy vehicle brand, LEPAS, is set to take the L6 EV on its first global drive, starting from Shanghai on October 19. This expansion follows the vehicle's successful launch in Thailand in July, as the electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) prepares to reach a wider international audience.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the LEPAS Global Elegance Drive will involve 34 Elegant Driving Ambassadors from 15 countries who will embark on a two-day, one-night journey from Shanghai to Wuhu. This drive signifies the official start of the inaugural LEPAS Global Elegant Lifestyle Week, part of the 2026 Chery International User Summit.

The driving route will include diverse terrains such as city streets, intercity highways, lakeside roads, and winding mountain paths. These varied road conditions will test the vehicle's capabilities, including power response, driver assistance, ride comfort, range, and charging performance. The drive will also challenge the SUV's handling on bends and gradients, as well as its intelligent parking assistance in unfamiliar locations.

LEPAS has stated that the ambassadors will provide feedback on the features most important in their respective home markets. This feedback aims to help the company understand global user needs and guide future product development.

In Thailand, the L6 EV received positive feedback from local customers and media, praised for its urban driving experience. LEPAS markets the model as an Intelligent Urban Living SUV, featuring a Nature-Inspired Tech Cabin, electric drivetrain, comfort-focused chassis, advanced driver assistance systems, and intelligent parking assistance. The vehicle's range and fast-charging capabilities support longer trips.

The lifestyle week, themed 'TOGETHER IN ELEGANCE', will allow users to experience LEPAS's NEV products and explore Chery Auto's latest intelligent technologies, including the AiMOGA robots.
