He expressed confidence in the team’s preparation, noting that they have been training for over two months. Faisal conveyed optimism about the match, stating that regardless of the outcome, the team is committed to giving their best effort.

Faisal also addressed the challenges of a packed schedule this season, which includes both domestic and international competitions. He acknowledged the demanding nature of such a schedule but stressed the importance of stepping out of comfort zones to enhance performance. Meanwhile, Tan Sri Abd Karim, chairman and team manager of The Sultan of Selangor’s Cup (TSSC), remarked on the significance of the event, describing it as a symbolic occasion to relive the golden era of Malaysian football. The 21st edition of TSSC will see the Selangor Selection aiming to secure yet another victory in the prestigious tournament, having won the cup 10 times since its inception. The Singapore Selection, however, remains a formidable contender with seven wins to their name.
