Kuala Lumpur:First paragraph of the news story.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, CelcomDigi Berhad has launched a new chapter of its CDNXT talent development initiative, introducing Campus@CelcomDigi. This program, along with the Young Talent Programme (YTP) and Certifications Programme, aims to enhance industry-academia collaboration and equip Malaysian talents for the digital economy.

The launch event was officiated by Professor Datuk Dr. Azlinda Azman, director-general of the Ministry of Higher Education, on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir. Azlinda emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and industries to provide students with real-world exposure before they graduate.

Malaysia's higher education agenda focuses on producing future-ready graduates, especially as emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and automation transform work and daily life. Azlinda noted that Campus@CelcomDigi strengthens the university-industry relationship by offering students real business challenges, industry mentorship, and workplace experience during their studies.

The initiative includes partnerships with Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and HELP University, giving students practical industry exposure. CelcomDigi CEO Albern Murty highlighted the company's commitment to talent development, stressing the need for students to experience real work environments beyond classroom learning.

Campus@CelcomDigi can accommodate up to 300 students, offering dedicated spaces at CelcomDigi Tower and CelcomDigi Hub. Participants work on real projects with company employees, gaining practical experience. The program is designed to be more than a conventional internship, encouraging students to innovate and tackle workplace challenges.

The Certifications Programme will complement these initiatives by enhancing skills in AI, XR, and other technologies, aligning with the evolving demands of Malaysia's digital economy.
