CelcomDigi Reports Increased Net Profit of RM1.51 Billion for FY2025, Announces 3.6 Sen Final Dividend

Kuala lumpur: CelcomDigi Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM1.51 billion in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025 (FY2025) from RM1.38 billion a year ago.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the telecommunication provider stated that the increase in profit was largely supported by a reduction in depreciation, amortisation, and impairment costs following the complete decommissioning of network and right-of-use assets that had been impaired as of December 2024. The company's revenue saw a rise of 2.2 per cent to RM12.96 billion compared to RM12.68 billion previously, primarily driven by increased device sales influenced by seasonal factors.

CelcomDigi noted that its service revenue grew by 3.8 per cent, fueled by ongoing expansion in the postpaid and home and fibre segments, which were bolstered by subscriber growth. Specifically, home and fibre subscribers increased by 9.8 per cent to 315,000, while postpaid subscribers grew by 78,000. Revenue growth was further supported by a rise in internet and IT solution services.

The company reported a 14.6 per cent increase in total costs, primarily due to higher device costs aligned with robust seasonal demand and increased internet and IT solution services. Consequently, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by RM59 million, or 4.4 per cent, although EBIT decreased by RM56 million, or 8.6 per cent, due to elevated depreciation and amortisation charges.

For the fourth quarter (4Q 2025), CelcomDigi reported a net profit increase to RM349.59 million compared with RM158.28 million, with revenue rising to RM3.45 billion from RM3.28 billion previously.

In a separate statement, CelcomDigi revealed that its network modernisation and integration efforts have exceeded 90 per cent completion, enhancing service quality and customer experience in upgraded locations. IT consolidation is 80 per cent complete, highlighted by the successful upgrade of its channel management systems in 4Q 2025.

The final stages of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems are on track for full completion by early 2027. On the retail side, over 60 CelcomDigi stores have been modernised, and the nationwide refresh of over 300 exclusive partner stores is two-thirds finished.

The company also experienced significant growth in its new CelcomDigi App, which attracted over 5.5 million registered users within its first three months, as of the end of 2025. CelcomDigi concluded the year with a total of 20.6 million subscribers and declared a final dividend of 3.6 sen per share, contributing to a FY2025 total dividend of 14.7 sen per share, consistent with its sustainable dividend commitment to shareholders.
