DUBAI: Callabio Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia-based manufacturer specializing in ‘coffee syrup,’ is anticipating potential sales of over RM50 million at the International Sourcing Programme (INSP) during the MIHAS@Dubai 2024 exhibition. The company has been actively engaging with buyers from Dubai and other regions, leveraging the support of the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad Shahir Mohamad Suhaimi, the owner of Callabio Manufacturing, highlighted the significant role MATRADE played in connecting them with the right buyers. “MATRADE helped us a lot to meet the right buyers. Throughout INSP, we got many potential buyers from Dubai and many were interested in our products,” he stated. The company’s coffee syrup, a product with high demand and minimal competition, attracted considerable attention leading to several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with companies from Dubai, India, and the United States.
On the first day of the exhibi
tion, Callabio recorded an export potential of RM16 million. Currently, more than 30 companies have shown interest in their products, with sales potential projected to exceed RM40 million. Mohamad Shahir emphasized the importance of the INSP by MATRADE, describing it as a vital program for local bumiputra entrepreneurs aiming to expand internationally. He expressed hope that MATRADE would continue such initiatives and broaden the reach of MIHAS to other countries.
The INSP initiative serves as a strategic platform connecting Malaysian exporters with international buyers, facilitating networking opportunities and trade discussions. Participating companies can showcase their unique halal-certified products directly to potential global partners. By incorporating INSP into MIHAS@Dubai, MATRADE is demonstrating its commitment to aiding Malaysian businesses in building robust international networks, crucial for sustained growth and expansion in the global halal market.
