Kuala lumpur: In conjunction with the observance of Nuzul Quran today, members of the Cabinet extended their greetings and called on Muslims in the country to increase their recitation of the Quran and practise its teachings in their daily lives.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil emphasized that the Quran serves as a guide for life, a remedy for the heart, and a light that illuminates the path of life in this world and the hereafter. He urged everyone to enhance their recitation, understanding, and practice of the Quran's teachings in their daily routines through a Facebook post.
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani expressed his hope for Muslims to continue appreciating and practicing the teachings of the Quran, using it as a guide to foster a knowledgeable, ethical, and compassionate society.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir highlighted the significance of Nuzul Quran in Islamic history. He noted that it marks the revelation of the first divine message to Prophet Muhammad SAW and the beginning of a knowledge-based civilisation founded on divine revelation.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad called on Muslims to strengthen their faith, continue reflecting on the Quran, seek Allah's forgiveness, and strive to be granted the opportunity to encounter Lailatul Qadr.
The Nuzul Quran observance commemorates the momentous event in Islamic history when the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad SAW, marked by the first revelation on the 17th day of Ramadan.
