New york: Bullish (NYSE: BLSH), an institutional-grade digital asset platform, has announced an agreement to acquire Equiniti, a global transfer agent and provider of essential shareholder services, in a deal worth $4.2 billion. This transaction is set to create the leading global transfer agent for tokenized securities, with the aim of positioning Bullish at the forefront of blockchain-native capital markets infrastructure.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this acquisition merges Bullish's blockchain-native capabilities with Equiniti's robust transfer agent services. Bullish offers expertise in token design, issuance, operation, and compliance, along with distribution through regulated global markets and liquidity provisioning. The partnership is further strengthened by media, data, and research from CoinDesk. Equiniti, on the other hand, serves as the regulated transfer agent for nearly 3,000 blue-chip public companies worldwide, processing around $500 billion in annual payments and supporting over 20 million verified shareholders. The integration of these services will result in a comprehensive platform designed to operate alongside existing market infrastructure, supporting the entire tokenized asset lifecycle.
