Brunei Sultan Commends Malaysian Medical Team for Outstanding Healthcare

Kuala Lumpur: Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei has conveyed his gratitude to the Malaysian medical team for their dedicated service during his recent healthcare treatment. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed this after a telephone conversation with the Sultan, in which he checked on the Sultan’s health following his medical care in Malaysia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar reported that the Sultan’s health is improving and remains under close observation by the medical team, which includes Malaysian healthcare professionals. Anwar shared these updates on his Facebook page, emphasizing the importance of the Sultan’s well-being.

During the discussion, Anwar and the Sultan also touched upon the strong bilateral relations between Malaysia and Brunei, as well as developments within ASEAN. Anwar expressed his prayers for the health and protection of the Sultan and the Bruneian royal family.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah visited Malaysia on May 25 for the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on May 26 and 27. After the summit, the Sultan was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) for five days from May 27 due to fatigue and then rested at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur before returning to Bandar Seri Begawan on June 3.
